SR-BI Antibody Human Adrenal Gland WB. Western blot analysis of human adrenal gland lysate detected a strong SR-BI immunoreactive band at approximately 80–85 kDa. Although the predicted molecular weight is approximately 57 kDa for the unmodified protein, SR-BI commonly migrates near 82 kDa because of extensive glycosylation, consistent with the observed band. The adrenal gland is a major site of SR-BI expression due to its requirement for HDL-derived cholesterol during steroid hormone synthesis. This SR-BI Antibody, a Scavenger Receptor Class B Type 1 Antibody, is well suited for studies of cholesterol transport, steroidogenesis and lipoprotein receptor biology.
