Description

SM-MHC Antibody ID8 detects Smooth Muscle Myosin Heavy Chain, also called Myosin-11, a smooth muscle myosin belonging to the myosin heavy chain family. Myosin-11 is a subunit of a hexameric protein that consists of two heavy chain subunits and two pairs of non-identical light chain subunits. It is a major contractile protein, converting chemical energy into mechanical energy through the hydrolysis of ATP.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the SM-MHC Antibody ID8 should be determined by the researcher.

1. Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.

Immunogen

Human uterus extract was used as the immunogen for the SM-MHC antibody.

Storage

Store the SM-MHC antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
