CD327 Antibody Human Placenta WB. Western blot analysis was performed on human placenta lysate using CD327 Antibody at 0.5 ug/ml. A specific immunoreactive band is detected at approximately 50-60 kDa, consistent with the expected molecular weight of CD327 (Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 6), which routinely migrates within this range due to glycosylation. The blot demonstrates specific detection with minimal background, supporting reliable recognition of endogenous CD327 in human placental tissue. These results demonstrate that this Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 6 Antibody is suitable for Western blot detection of CD327 in human placenta lysates.

Description

CD327 Antibody recognizes CD327, also known as Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 6 (SIGLEC6), a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin family. CD327 functions as a cell surface receptor that recognizes sialylated glycans and participates in regulating immune cell signaling through inhibitory pathways. The receptor contains extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains responsible for ligand recognition and intracellular immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs that modulate downstream signaling events. Although originally identified in placental trophoblasts, CD327 is also expressed on subsets of B lymphocytes, mast cells, and selected hematopoietic cells. NSJ Bioreagents supplies CD327 Antibody for reliable detection of this specialized immune receptor in diverse research applications.

Through recognition of self-associated sialic acid-containing glycans, CD327 contributes to maintenance of immune homeostasis by limiting inappropriate cellular activation. Following ligand engagement, its intracellular inhibitory motifs recruit phosphatases that attenuate signaling pathways downstream of activating immune receptors. As a result, CD327 influences B cell activation, mast cell responses, cytokine production, and immune tolerance. Because glycan-mediated signaling has emerged as a major regulator of innate and adaptive immunity, CD327 Antibody is widely used to investigate glycoimmunology, inhibitory receptor biology, and immune cell communication.

Beyond its role in normal physiology, CD327 has gained considerable interest as a potential therapeutic target in oncology. Expression has been reported in subsets of acute myeloid leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and additional malignancies, where its restricted cell surface distribution makes it an attractive candidate for antibody-based therapies and immune targeting strategies. CD327 is also studied in placental biology because of its abundant trophoblast expression and potential involvement in maternal-fetal immune tolerance. These diverse biological functions have established CD327 as an important research target across immunology, glycobiology, developmental biology, and cancer research.

A CD327 Antibody is a valuable reagent for investigating immune regulation, glycan recognition, inhibitory receptor signaling, and placental biology. By enabling reliable detection of Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 6, a CD327 Antibody supports research into immune homeostasis, cancer immunology, maternal-fetal tolerance, and the molecular mechanisms governing glycan-dependent cellular communication.
