SAFB Antibody Human 293 Cell WB. Western blot analysis of human 293 cell lysate detected a strong SAFB immunoreactive band at approximately 150 kDa. Although the predicted molecular weight of SAFB is about 102 kDa, the protein commonly migrates at a substantially higher apparent molecular weight because of extensive phosphorylation, intrinsically disordered domains and other post-translational modifications that reduce electrophoretic mobility. SAFB Antibody / Scaffold Attachment Factor B Antibody recognizes Scaffold Attachment Factor B (SAFB), a multifunctional nuclear protein that participates in chromatin organization, transcriptional regulation and RNA metabolism. SAFB binds scaffold and matrix attachment regions within chromosomal DNA while serving as a molecular platform for interactions with transcription factors, RNA-binding proteins and components of the spliceosome. These coordinated activities allow SAFB to integrate transcription with RNA processing, making it an important regulator of nuclear gene expression. Scaffold Attachment Factor B functions primarily within the nucleus, where it associates with chromatin remodeling complexes and contributes to both transcriptional activation and repression depending on cellular context. Through interactions with estrogen receptor, androgen receptor and numerous transcriptional regulators, the protein influences hormone-responsive signaling pathways and cellular differentiation.
