PPIA Antibody A431 and HeLa WB. Western blot analysis of 1) human A431 and 2) human HeLa cell lysates using PPIA Antibody demonstrates strong immunoreactive bands at approximately 18 kDa in both cell lines, consistent with the expected molecular weight of PPIA (Cyclophilin A). PPIA is a ubiquitously expressed peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase that functions as a molecular chaperone involved in protein folding, intracellular signaling, and cellular stress response pathways. The detection of a single prominent band in both epithelial-derived cell lines supports specific recognition of endogenous PPIA and demonstrates the utility of this antibody for western blot applications.
PPIA Antibody Human Mouse WB. Western blot analysis of 1) human T-47D, 2) mouse brain, and 3) mouse bladder lysates using PPIA Antibody demonstrates strong immunoreactive bands at approximately 18 kDa in all samples, consistent with the expected molecular weight of PPIA (Cyclophilin A). PPIA is a highly conserved peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase that functions as a molecular chaperone involved in protein folding, protein trafficking, and regulation of cellular stress response pathways. The consistent detection of endogenous PPIA across human and mouse tissues highlights its ubiquitous expression and supports the utility of this antibody for cross-species western blot applications. Predicted molecular weight: ~18 kDa. Observed molecular weight: ~18 kDa. A faint higher molecular weight band visible in the mouse bladder sample may represent a post-translationally modified form of PPIA, protein complex formation, or minor nonspecific reactivity.
PPIA Antibody Human Brain IHC. Immunohistochemical staining of FFPE human brain tissue using PPIA Antibody demonstrates widespread cytoplasmic HRP-DAB brown staining throughout neural tissue, with positive immunoreactivity observed in neuronal cell bodies and surrounding neuropil. The staining pattern is consistent with expression of PPIA (Cyclophilin A), a highly conserved peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase that functions as a molecular chaperone involved in protein folding, intracellular signaling, and cellular stress response pathways. Robust expression within brain tissue supports the important role of Cyclophilin A in maintaining protein homeostasis and neuronal function within the central nervous system. HIER: steam section in pH6 citrate buffer for 20 min and allow to cool prior to staining.
PPIA Antibody WiDr Flow Cytometry. Flow cytometric analysis of human WiDr cells stained with PPIA Antibody demonstrates a clear positive fluorescence shift (green histogram) relative to the isotype control population (blue histogram). The observed increase in fluorescence intensity is consistent with expression of PPIA (Cyclophilin A), a ubiquitously expressed peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase that functions as a molecular chaperone involved in protein folding, intracellular signaling, and cellular stress response pathways. The distinct separation between the PPIA antibody-stained and control populations supports specific detection of endogenous Cyclophilin A by flow cytometry and demonstrates the utility of this antibody for FACS applications in human cell lines. Blue = isotype control. Green = PPIA antibody.

Description

PPIA Antibody recognizes PPIA / Cyclophilin A, a ubiquitously expressed intracellular protein that belongs to the cyclophilin family of peptidyl-prolyl isomerases. Cyclophilin A functions primarily as a protein folding catalyst, accelerating conformational changes required for proper protein maturation and biological activity. This enzymatic function allows Cyclophilin A to participate in numerous cellular processes involving protein quality control, intracellular transport, and regulation of signaling networks.

PPIA Antibody is frequently used for examining molecular chaperone activity and cellular homeostasis. Because Cyclophilin A interacts with a diverse range of protein substrates, it contributes to the maintenance of normal cellular function under both physiological and stress-associated conditions. The protein is widely expressed across tissues and cell types, reflecting its fundamental role in supporting cellular metabolism, growth, and survival.

PPIA Antibody is also useful for investigating cellular responses to environmental and pathological stress. Expression and secretion of Cyclophilin A can increase in response to oxidative damage, inflammatory stimuli, tissue injury, and metabolic stress. Both intracellular and extracellular Cyclophilin A have been implicated in signaling pathways that regulate inflammation, cell migration, apoptosis, and tissue remodeling. As a result, Cyclophilin A has become an important biomarker for studies of cellular adaptation and disease progression.

PPIA Antibody supports research involving protein folding, immunophilin biology, signal transduction, inflammation, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and host-pathogen interactions. Due to its highly conserved structure and broad biological functions, Cyclophilin A remains one of the most widely studied molecular chaperones and an important target for both basic and translational biomedical research.

Researchers studying protein folding, molecular chaperones, cellular stress responses, and Cyclophilin A signaling pathways may also be interested in our Cyclophilin A Antibody / Protein Folding Chaperone Antibody.
