MIP-1 beta Antibody Rat and Mouse Thymus WB. Western blot analysis using MIP-1 beta Antibody. Lane 1: rat thymus tissue lysate; Lane 2: mouse thymus tissue lysate. A distinct immunoreactive band is detected at approximately 15 kDa in both rat and mouse thymus lysates. Although mature CCL4 (MIP-1 beta) has a lower predicted molecular weight of approximately 10 kDa, the observed migration is consistent across both species and may reflect dimerization or other biochemical properties that influence electrophoretic mobility. These results support the use of MIP-1 beta Antibody / Macrophage Inflammatory Protein Beta Antibody for detecting CCL4 in rodent tissues and investigating inflammatory chemokine expression.

Description

Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 4, also known as CCL4 and MIP-1 beta, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the CCL4 gene. It is a CC chemokine with specificity for CCR5 receptors. It is a chemoattractant for natural killer cells, monocytes and a variety of other immune cells. MIP-1 beta is a major HIV-suppressive factor produced by CD8+ T cells.

Application Notes

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the MIP-1 beta Antibody / Macrophage Inflammatory Protein Beta Antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
