LRRN1 Antibody Rat Brain IHC. IHC staining of FFPE rat brain tissue was performed with LRRN1 Antibody. Heat-induced epitope retrieval was performed by boiling tissue sections in pH 8.0 EDTA buffer for 20 minutes, followed by cooling prior to staining. Positive LRRN1 staining is observed in neuronal cells with a predominantly cytoplasmic pattern. This LRRN1 Antibody demonstrates localization of leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein 1 in rat brain tissue.
LRRN1 Antibody Mouse and Rat Skeletal Muscle WB. Western blot testing of rat skeletal muscle (lane 1) and mouse skeletal muscle (lane 2) tissue lysates was performed with LRRN1 Antibody. Prominent bands are detected at approximately 95-100 kDa, above the predicted molecular weight of approximately 81 kDa. The higher apparent molecular weight is consistent with glycosylation of LRRN1. This LRRN1 Antibody demonstrates detection of leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein 1 in mouse and rat skeletal muscle tissue.
LRRN1 Antibody Human SH-SY5Y Neuroblastoma Cell FACS. Flow cytometry analysis of fixed and permeabilized human SH-SY5Y cells was performed with LRRN1 Antibody at 1 ug/million cells following blocking with goat serum. The histogram shows cells alone (red), isotype control (green) and LRRN1 Antibody staining (blue). A clear fluorescence shift is observed with the LRRN1 Antibody compared with the isotype control. This LRRN1 Antibody demonstrates detection of leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein 1 in human neuroblastoma cells.

Description

LRRN1 Antibody / Leucine-Rich Repeat Neuronal Protein 1 Antibody detects LRRN1, a member of the leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein family also known as NLRR1. LRRN1 is a type I transmembrane protein characterized by an extracellular region containing multiple leucine-rich repeats, an immunoglobulin-like domain and a fibronectin type III domain. These structural features are characteristic of proteins involved in cell-cell interactions, recognition and adhesion, making LRRN1 an important research target in nervous system development and neuronal biology.

Leucine-rich repeat domains provide protein interaction surfaces that participate in a wide range of cellular recognition processes. In LRRN1, these extracellular domains are positioned to mediate interactions between cells or with components of the extracellular environment. The protein also contains a single transmembrane region and an intracellular C-terminal domain, allowing extracellular interactions to potentially influence cellular behavior. A LRRN1 Antibody can support investigation of the expression and localization of this neuronal leucine-rich repeat protein in biological samples.

LRRN1 expression has been studied in the developing nervous system, where regulated cell adhesion and recognition are essential for establishing tissue organization and neuronal connectivity. During neural development, cells must coordinate proliferation, differentiation, migration and the formation of appropriate cellular contacts. Members of the leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein family have attracted interest because their extracellular architecture is well suited to these recognition events. LRRN1 has consequently been investigated in relation to neural patterning, neuronal differentiation and the establishment of cellular boundaries during development.

Beyond developmental neurobiology, LRRN1 expression has been examined in cancer research. Altered expression of developmental and cell-surface recognition proteins can accompany changes in tumor cell proliferation, differentiation, adhesion and interactions with surrounding tissues. NLRR1 has been studied particularly in the context of neural-derived tumors and other malignancies in which developmental signaling programs may become dysregulated. Investigation of LRRN1 can therefore provide a link between mechanisms controlling normal neural development and cellular processes altered during tumor progression.

As a membrane-associated protein with extracellular leucine-rich repeat domains, LRRN1 is also relevant to research examining how cell-surface proteins regulate communication between neighboring cells. Its combination of leucine-rich repeat, immunoglobulin-like and fibronectin type III domains places it within a broader group of proteins that participate in cellular recognition and adhesion. Studying LRRN1 expression across tissues and experimental models can help characterize its relationship to neuronal differentiation, tissue organization and disease-associated changes in cell behavior.

NSJ Bioreagents offers LRRN1 Antibody reagents for investigating the expression and localization of this neuronal leucine-rich repeat protein. A Leucine-Rich Repeat Neuronal Protein 1 Antibody can support research into nervous system development, neuronal differentiation, cell adhesion, tissue organization and disease mechanisms involving altered LRRN1 expression.

Researchers studying LRRN1 in neuronal development and nervous system biology can explore our Neuroscience Antibodies page for additional targets involved in neural differentiation, cell recognition and neuronal function.
