KLF4 Antibody recognizes Kruppel-like factor 4, a member of the Kruppel-like family of zinc finger transcription factors that regulates gene expression involved in cell fate decisions. KLF4 functions primarily within the nucleus, where it controls transcriptional programs governing proliferation, differentiation, cell cycle arrest, and survival. Through these activities, it contributes to the maintenance of normal tissue architecture and cellular identity.
KLF4 is especially abundant in epithelial tissues and is well known for its role in preserving epithelial homeostasis and regulating differentiation. It also participates in stem cell maintenance, tissue regeneration, and cellular responses to environmental stress.
