IL31 Polyclonal Antibody in Human Testis by IHC. Immunohistochemistry of FFPE human testis sections using IL31 Polyclonal Antibody. The image shows distinct brown immunoreactivity within the seminiferous tubules, with heterogeneous staining among cells of the seminiferous epithelium and comparatively limited staining in surrounding interstitial regions. Hematoxylin counterstaining provides clear visualization of tissue architecture. HIER was performed by steaming sections in pH 6 citrate buffer for 20 min and allowing them to cool before staining. The result demonstrates tissue localization using the Interleukin 31 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
IL31 Polyclonal Antibody in K562 Cells and Human Placenta by WB. Western blot analysis of human K562 cell lysate (lane 1) and human placenta tissue lysate (lane 2) using IL31 Polyclonal Antibody. IL-31 has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 18 kDa. The blot demonstrates immunoreactivity in both human samples, providing biochemical validation complementary to the tissue staining and flow cytometry data. Differences between predicted and observed migration may reflect post-translational processing or other characteristics of endogenous IL-31. This result supports western blot detection with the Interleukin 31 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
IL31 Polyclonal Antibody in WiDr Cells by FACS. Flow cytometry analysis of human WiDr cells using IL31 Polyclonal Antibody. The isotype control is shown in blue and IL-31 antibody staining in green. The green population demonstrates increased fluorescence relative to the isotype control, supporting detection of cell-associated IL-31 in WiDr cells. This flow cytometry validation complements the western blot and IHC data available for the Interleukin 31 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.

Description

IL31 Polyclonal Antibody / Interleukin 31 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody recognizes interleukin 31, a cytokine belonging to the IL-6 cytokine family. IL-31 is encoded by the IL31 gene and is produced predominantly by activated T cells, particularly populations associated with type 2 immune responses. This cytokine participates in communication between immune cells, epithelial tissues and sensory neurons and has been extensively investigated for its roles in inflammation, barrier-tissue biology and pruritus.

IL-31 signals through a heterodimeric receptor composed of IL31RA and oncostatin M receptor beta (OSMR). Ligand binding activates intracellular pathways that include JAK/STAT, PI3K/AKT and MAPK signaling. These pathways allow IL-31 to influence cytokine production, cellular differentiation and responses within epithelial and immune cell populations. Expression of the receptor components across multiple cell types contributes to the diverse biological effects associated with IL-31 signaling.

IL-31 has a particularly prominent connection with inflammatory skin biology and itch. Elevated signaling has been investigated in atopic dermatitis, prurigo nodularis and other conditions characterized by chronic pruritus and inflammation. The cytokine can act on sensory neurons expressing its receptor complex, providing a mechanism through which immune-derived signals influence neuronal pathways involved in itch perception. An Interleukin 31 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody can support research into this communication between immune, epithelial and sensory systems.

IL-31 is also investigated in allergic inflammation and other immune-mediated conditions. Its biological effects depend on receptor distribution, cellular context and interactions with broader cytokine networks. Studying IL-31 expression can therefore contribute to understanding type 2 immune responses and the mechanisms connecting inflammatory signaling with changes in peripheral tissues.

NSJ Bioreagents offers this rabbit polyclonal reagent for research into IL-31 expression and cytokine biology. The IL31 Polyclonal Antibody terminology incorporates the non-hyphenated gene-style designation, while Interleukin 31 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody provides the expanded protein name together with host species and antibody format.

An IL31 Polyclonal Antibody provides a reagent for investigating IL-31 expression and cytokine biology, while an Interleukin 31 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody supports research into inflammation, pruritus and immune-mediated signaling.
