Human IgG Antibody (clone IG217) is a mouse monoclonal antibody developed for the detection of human immunoglobulin G, the most abundant immunoglobulin class present in human serum. Human IgG is composed of two gamma heavy chains and two light chains that together mediate antigen recognition and immune effector functions. As a highly specific monoclonal reagent, Human IgG Antibody clone IG217 enables reliable detection of endogenous human IgG in immunological, pathological, and biomedical research applications. NSJ Bioreagents provides clone IG217 to support reproducible analysis of human immunoglobulin G in tissue, serum, and other biological specimens.
Human IgG plays a central role in adaptive immunity by neutralizing pathogens, promoting opsonization, activating the classical complement pathway, and engaging Fc gamma receptors expressed on immune cells. It is produced by differentiated plasma cells following antigen exposure and class-switch recombination, providing durable humoral immunity and immunological memory. Because IgG represents the predominant antibody class in circulation, Human IgG Antibody is widely used to investigate plasma cell biology, antibody production, immune responses, and lymphoid tissue architecture.
Detection of human IgG is valuable across numerous areas of research, including infectious disease, autoimmune disorders, transplantation, hematopathology, and therapeutic antibody development. Immunohistochemical identification of IgG-producing plasma cells contributes to characterization of inflammatory infiltrates and plasma cell-rich lesions, while Western blot detection of IgG is frequently used for serum analysis and assay validation. Clone IG217 provides the consistency and specificity expected from a monoclonal antibody, supporting reproducible results across multiple experiments and laboratories.
Human IgG Antibody clone IG217 is a dependable reagent for investigating humoral immunity, plasma cell differentiation, antibody production, and immune-mediated disease. Whether analyzing normal lymphoid tissues, inflammatory lesions, serum samples, or immunoglobulin expression, this mouse monoclonal antibody provides reliable detection of human IgG in diverse research applications.

The optimal dilution of the Human IgG Antibody Clone IG217 for each application should be determined by the researcher.
1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
Purified human Ig Gamma Chain was used as the immunogen for this IgG antibody.
Store the IgG antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
