Description

HSP105 Antibody / Heat Shock Protein 105 Antibody recognizes HSP105, a large molecular chaperone encoded by the HSPH1 gene. HSP105 belongs to the HSP110/HSPH family of heat shock proteins and participates in cellular protein quality control, protein folding and responses to proteotoxic stress. The protein is closely associated with the HSP70 chaperone system and helps cells maintain protein homeostasis under both normal and stress conditions.

HSP105 functions as a nucleotide exchange factor and co-chaperone for members of the HSP70 family. By promoting the exchange of ADP for ATP on HSP70 proteins, HSP105 helps regulate progression through the HSP70 chaperone cycle. HSP105 and related HSP110-family proteins can also cooperate with HSP70 machinery in the handling of misfolded and aggregated proteins. These activities make HSP105 an important component of cellular proteostasis mechanisms that protect proteins from stress-induced damage.

Expression of Heat Shock Protein 105 can be influenced by heat shock and other forms of cellular stress that disrupt protein homeostasis. HSP105 has consequently been studied in the context of stress adaptation, protein aggregation, molecular chaperone activity and cellular survival. An HSP105 Antibody can support analysis of HSPH1 abundance and distribution in cells and tissues and help investigate changes in the HSP105/HSP70 chaperone network under different experimental conditions.

HSP105 is also studied in cancer biology, where tumor cells frequently experience proteotoxic, metabolic and environmental stress. Altered HSP105 expression has been reported in multiple malignancies, and research has examined its relationship with tumor cell survival, proliferation and responses to cellular stress. These properties connect Heat Shock Protein 105 with broader research into the mechanisms by which molecular chaperones maintain protein homeostasis in normal and malignant cells.

NSJ Bioreagents offers HSP105 Antibody reagents for investigating HSPH1 expression and heat shock protein biology. A Heat Shock Protein 105 Antibody can support research into molecular chaperone activity, HSP70-associated protein folding, proteostasis, cellular stress responses and cancer biology.

Researchers investigating HSP105 function within the HSP70 chaperone network can explore our HSP105 Antibody / HSP70 Co-Chaperone Antibody page for additional reagents targeting HSPH1 in protein folding, proteostasis and cellular stress research.
