FLOT1 Antibody / Reggie 2 Antibody detects Flotillin 1, a conserved membrane-associated protein involved in lipid raft organization, membrane microdomain structure, vesicle trafficking and signal regulation. FLOT1, historically known as Reggie 2, belongs to the flotillin family of SPFH domain-containing proteins that associate with cholesterol-rich regions of the plasma membrane. These specialized membrane domains function as organizing centers for signaling molecules, receptors and trafficking proteins. Through its ability to act as a membrane scaffold, FLOT1 contributes to cellular communication, receptor organization and regulation of membrane-associated pathways.

FLOT1 participates in several important cell biology processes, including endocytosis, protein trafficking, cytoskeletal interactions and extracellular vesicle formation. Flotillin-associated membrane domains are considered distinct from classical caveolin-dependent structures and provide alternative platforms for organizing membrane proteins.
