CD36, also known as Fatty Acid Translocase, is a multifunctional scavenger receptor that mediates long chain fatty acid uptake and contributes to lipid metabolism and cellular energy homeostasis. A prominent band is detected at approximately 88 kDa in all samples, corresponding to the heavily glycosylated form of CD36. The apparent molecular weight of CD36 is known to range from approximately 53 kDa for the unglycosylated protein to approximately 88 kDa following glycosylation. These results demonstrate conserved expression of CD36 across multiple species and support the utility of CD36 Antibody for studies of lipid transport, cardiovascular biology, metabolism, and scavenger receptor function.

CD36 Antibody Rat Spleen IHC. Immunohistochemical staining of FFPE rat spleen demonstrates CD36 expression using a CD36 antibody. CD36, also known as Fatty Acid Translocase, is a multifunctional scavenger receptor involved in long chain fatty acid uptake, lipid metabolism, and immune regulation. Predominantly membranous and cytoplasmic staining is observed in splenic macrophages and other mononuclear cells, consistent with the established role of CD36 in phagocytosis, inflammation, and recognition of oxidized lipoproteins. Heat induced epitope retrieval was performed by boiling tissue sections in pH 6 10 mM citrate buffer for 20 minutes followed by cooling prior to staining. These results support the utility of CD36 Antibody for studies of scavenger receptor biology, lipid transport, immune responses, and metabolic disease.

CD36 Antibody Human Lung Cancer IHC. Immunohistochemical staining of FFPE human lung cancer demonstrates CD36 expression using a CD36 antibody. CD36, also known as Fatty Acid Translocase, is a multifunctional scavenger receptor involved in long chain fatty acid uptake, lipid metabolism, and cellular energy homeostasis. Predominantly membranous and cytoplasmic staining is observed in tumor associated cells and subsets of malignant cells, consistent with the role of CD36 in metabolic reprogramming, inflammation, and tumor progression. Heat induced epitope retrieval was performed by boiling tissue sections in pH 6 10 mM citrate buffer for 20 minutes followed by cooling prior to staining. These results support the utility of CD36 Antibody for studies of cancer metabolism, lipid transport, scavenger receptor biology, and the tumor microenvironment.
