BMP2 Antibody Human HeLa Cell WB. Western blot analysis of human HeLa cell lysate using BMP2 Antibody demonstrates a prominent immunoreactive band at approximately 35-37 kDa. Although the mature BMP2 monomer is expected at approximately 13-14 kDa, Bone Morphogenetic Protein 2 (BMP2) is synthesized as a larger precursor protein that undergoes proteolytic processing and maturation. The observed molecular weight is therefore consistent with detection of precursor or partially processed BMP2 species. BMP2 is a member of the TGF-beta superfamily and functions as a key osteogenic growth factor involved in skeletal development, tissue regeneration, cellular differentiation, and morphogenetic signaling pathways.
