Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/6790R by WB in Human and Multiple Animal Species. Western blot analysis of human, mouse, rat, hamster, and guinea pig liver tissue lysates using Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/6790R, a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody. Lane 1: human liver; lane 2: mouse liver; lane 3: rat liver; lane 4: hamster liver; lane 5: guinea pig liver. A prominent immunoreactive band is detected at approximately 35-38 kDa in human liver, consistent with the predicted molecular weight of ARG1 (~35 kDa). No corresponding bands are visible in the four animal liver lysates under the conditions tested, indicating human-selective recognition by this antibody in this experiment.
Western blot analysis of human liver tissue lysate using Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/6790R. Predicted molecular weight ~35 kDa.
Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/6790R by IHC in Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Immunohistochemistry of FFPE human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue using Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/6790R, a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody. Strong, diffuse brown DAB staining is observed predominantly in the cytoplasm of tumor cells, with occasional nuclear staining and variable cytoplasmic intensity. The staining pattern is consistent with ARG1 expression in hepatocellular carcinoma and its role as a marker of hepatocellular differentiation. Nuclei are counterstained blue with hematoxylin. The lower-left inset shows a secondary-only negative control, with PBS substituted for the primary antibody, demonstrating minimal background staining.

Description

Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/6790R recognizes a protein of 35-38kDa, which is identified as Arginase 1 (ARG1). Arginase is a manganese metallo-enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of arginine to generate ornithine and urea. Arginase I and II are isoenzymes which differ in subcellular localization, regulation, and possibly function. Arginase I is a cytosolic enzyme, which is expressed mainly in the liver as part of the urea cycle, whereas arginase II is a mitochondrial protein found in a variety of tissues. Antibody to ARG-1 labels hepatocytes in normal tissues and granulocytes in peripheral blood. ARG-1 is a sensitive and specific marker for identification of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Explore our protein microarray-validated Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/1125 for investigating ARG1 expression, hepatocellular differentiation, and arginine metabolism.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the Arginase 1 Antibody ARG1/6790R should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 300-400 was used as the immunogen for the Arginase 1 antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the Arginase 1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
