Western blot testing of human A431 cell lysate with AP2A1 antibody. Predicted molecular weight ~108 kDa.
AP2A1 Antibody Mouse and Rat Brain WB. Western blot testing of mouse brain and rat brain lysates with AP2A1 Antibody at 1:6000 dilution. Samples were incubated with AP2A1 antibody for 1 hour at room temperature. A major band was detected at approximately 100 kDa, consistent with the expected molecular weight of AP2A1. AP2A1 Antibody supports detection of alpha adaptin expression and studies of adaptor protein complex function, clathrin-mediated endocytosis, membrane trafficking and intracellular transport pathways.

Description

AP2A1 Antibody detects adaptor related protein complex 2 subunit alpha 1, a component of the AP-2 adaptor complex involved in intracellular membrane trafficking and cargo sorting. AP2A1, also known as alpha adaptin, helps organize adaptor protein complexes that participate in the regulated movement of proteins from the plasma membrane into intracellular compartments. Through this role, AP2A1 contributes to cellular transport pathways, membrane protein regulation and coordination of vesicle-associated cellular processes.

AP2A1 is part of a multi-subunit adaptor complex that recognizes cargo proteins and helps link them to vesicle formation machinery. These adaptor systems are important for controlling receptor availability, membrane composition and movement of signaling proteins within cells. AP2A1 Antibody is used by researchers studying protein trafficking, membrane-associated transport and the organization of adaptor protein complex pathways in different biological models.

Research involving AP2A1 supports studies of cell biology, neuronal function and receptor regulation. Membrane trafficking pathways influence how cells respond to extracellular signals, maintain surface receptor balance and coordinate intracellular communication. Because adaptor proteins are central to these processes, AP2A1 expression analysis can provide insight into cellular transport mechanisms and changes associated with altered membrane dynamics.

AP2A1 Antibody applications include detection of AP2A1 expression and regulation in biological samples using methods such as Western blot, immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry. This antibody has been validated using AP2A1 knockout cell lysates, where loss of the target band supports antibody specificity. NSJ Bioreagents provides AP2A1 Antibody for researchers studying adaptor protein complexes, membrane trafficking and cellular transport regulation.

Adaptor Protein Complex 2 Alpha 1 Antibody detects an AP-2 complex component involved in cargo sorting, receptor internalization and vesicle trafficking; additional endocytosis research tools are available on our AP2A1 Antibody / Clathrin Adaptor Protein Antibody page.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the AP2A1 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

A synthetic peptide specific to human AP2A1 / Alpha 1 adaptin was used as the immunogen for the AP2A1 antibody.

Storage

Store the AP2A1 antibody at -20oC.
