Zebrafish Myostatin Antibody / MSTNA Antibody recognizes Myostatin A (MSTNA), a member of the Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGF-beta) superfamily that functions as a critical negative regulator of skeletal muscle growth and development. MSTNA is the zebrafish ortholog of mammalian Myostatin, also known as Growth Differentiation Factor 8 (GDF8), and plays an important role in controlling muscle mass, myogenesis, and tissue homeostasis. By limiting excessive muscle growth, MSTNA helps maintain the balance between cellular proliferation, differentiation, and maturation required for normal vertebrate muscle development.
