Zebrafish FZD8 Antibody / Frizzled 8A Antibody recognizes zebrafish FZD8A, the ortholog of human FZD8 (Frizzled 8), a seven-transmembrane receptor that mediates canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling during embryonic development, tissue patterning, and organogenesis. FZD8A binds extracellular Wnt ligands and activates signaling pathways that regulate cell fate specification, proliferation, differentiation, polarity, and morphogenesis. During zebrafish development, FZD8A contributes to neural patterning, axis formation, somitogenesis, and organ development, making Zebrafish FZD8 Antibody / Frizzled 8 Antibody an important tool for studies of developmental biology and Wnt signaling.
Frizzled receptors belong to a conserved family of G protein-coupled receptor-like proteins that function through interactions with Wnt ligands and co-receptors to regulate beta-catenin-dependent and beta-catenin-independent signaling pathways. In zebrafish, FZD8A plays an essential role in coordinating embryonic patterning, central nervous system development, craniofacial morphogenesis, cardiovascular development, and tissue regeneration. Because Wnt signaling is tightly regulated throughout vertebrate development, zebrafish has become an important model for investigating the temporal and spatial functions of Frizzled receptors.
Altered Wnt/FZD8 signaling has been associated with developmental abnormalities, impaired tissue regeneration, stem cell dysfunction, and numerous human diseases including cancer. Although zebrafish FZD8A primarily serves as a model for developmental signaling, its high degree of evolutionary conservation provides valuable insight into mechanisms controlling organogenesis, neural development, regenerative biology, and receptor-mediated signal transduction relevant to mammalian systems. Continued investigation of FZD8A has expanded understanding of vertebrate embryogenesis and Wnt pathway regulation.
Zebrafish FZD8 Antibody / Frizzled 8 Antibody supports studies of Wnt signaling, embryonic patterning, nervous system development, tissue regeneration, stem cell biology, and receptor-mediated developmental signaling. By enabling detection of FZD8A expression in zebrafish tissues and experimental models, this antibody provides a valuable research tool for investigating conserved Wnt signaling pathways during vertebrate development.

This Zebrafish antibody is part of a broader Zebrafish / Danio rerio antibody panel offered by NSJ Bioreagents.
The optimal working dilution of the Zebrafish FZD8 Antibody / Frizzled 8A Antibody should be determined empirically by the investigator.
An E.coli-derived Zebrafish FZD8A recombinant protein (amino acids P18-V579) was used as the immunogen for the Zebrafish FZD8A Antibody.
After reconstitution, the Zebrafish FZD8A Antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
