Zebrafish CROCC2 Antibody WB. Western blot analysis of whole zebrafish tissue lysate using Zebrafish CROCC2 Antibody demonstrates a prominent immunoreactive band at approximately 222 kDa, consistent with the predicted molecular weight of the CROCC2 gene product. Additional immunoreactive bands are observed at lower molecular weights, which may reflect alternative isoforms, proteolytic processing, post-translational modification, or non-specific antibody reactivity. Electrophoresis was performed on an 8% SDS-PAGE gel under reducing conditions followed by transfer to a nitrocellulose membrane. Signal was detected using an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and enhanced chemiluminescent substrate.

Description

Zebrafish CROCC2 Antibody recognizes CROCC2, an uncharacterized protein encoded by the crocc2 gene. Although the precise biological function of CROCC2 remains incompletely defined, sequence analysis suggests that it belongs to a family of proteins containing extensive coiled-coil structural domains. Coiled-coil proteins commonly serve scaffolding, organizational, and structural roles within cells, contributing to the assembly of multiprotein complexes and maintenance of intracellular architecture. As a result, CROCC2 is of interest to researchers investigating cellular organization, developmental biology, and vertebrate gene function.

Zebrafish provide a valuable model system for characterizing previously unstudied genes because of their rapid development, genetic tractability, and optical transparency during embryogenesis. Expression studies examining CROCC2 may help define the tissues, developmental stages, and cellular populations in which this protein is active. Such information can provide important clues regarding biological function and facilitate future investigations into the molecular pathways in which CROCC2 participates.

Proteins containing large coiled-coil domains frequently contribute to intracellular scaffolding networks, cytoskeletal organization, centrosomal architecture, vesicular transport, and organelle positioning. While the specific role of CROCC2 has not been fully established, characterization of its expression pattern and subcellular localization may provide insight into potential structural or regulatory functions within vertebrate cells. Consequently, CROCC2 represents a potentially informative target for exploratory studies aimed at understanding cellular organization and developmental processes.

As genome annotation and functional genomics efforts continue to expand, previously uncharacterized proteins such as CROCC2 are becoming increasingly important subjects of investigation. Gene expression profiling, protein localization studies, and reverse genetic approaches may help define the physiological roles of CROCC2 during development and tissue homeostasis. Zebrafish models are particularly well suited for these studies because they enable direct observation of developmental phenotypes and tissue-specific gene activity in vivo.

At NSJ Bioreagents, we provide highly validated antibodies for developmental biology, cell biology, and zebrafish research. Zebrafish CROCC2 Antibody targets an uncharacterized protein encoded by the crocc2 gene and may be useful for studies examining protein expression, tissue distribution, developmental regulation, and cellular organization. Continued investigation of CROCC2 is expected to improve our understanding of its biological function and potential contributions to vertebrate development and physiology.

This Zebrafish antibody is part of a broader Zebrafish / Danio rerio antibody panel offered by NSJ Bioreagents.

Application Notes

The optimal working dilution of the Zebrafish CROCC2 Antibody should be determined empirically by the investigator.

Immunogen

An E.coli-derived Zebrafish CROCC2 recombinant protein (amino acids Q1637-L1929) was used as the immunogen for the Zebrafish CROCC2 Antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the Zebrafish CROCC2 Antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
