WNT7A Antibody Human, Mouse and Rat Tissue WB. Western blot analysis using lane 1: human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue, lane 2: human hepatocellular carcinoma paracancerous tissue, lane 3: rat kidney, lane 4: rat liver, lane 5: mouse kidney and lane 6: mouse liver lysates. Bands are detected near the expected molecular weight of approximately 39 kDa across the human and rodent samples. Additional lower-molecular-weight reactivity is present in rat liver. This result supports the use of WNT7A Antibody for detecting WNT7A in diverse tissue lysates.
Wnt7A Antibody Mouse and Rat Lung WB. Western blot analysis of Wnt7A using lane 1: human hepatocellular carcinoma paracancerous tissue (HCCP), lane 2: rat lung tissue and lane 3: mouse lung tissue lysates. A specific band is detected at approximately 39 kDa in the rodent lung samples, consistent with the predicted molecular weight of endogenous Wnt7A. These results demonstrate cross-species detection of Wnt7A and support the use of Wnt7A Antibody for investigating Wnt signaling, lung development and tissue morphogenesis.

Description

This gene is a member of the WNT gene family, which consists of structurally related genes that encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is involved in the development of the anterior-posterior axis in the female reproductive tract, and also plays a critical role in uterine smooth muscle pattering and maintenance of adult uterine function. Mutations in this gene are associated with Fuhrmann and Al-Awadi / Raas and Rothschild / Schinzel phocomelia syndromes.

For an overview of WNT7A biology and its role in Wnt signaling, embryonic development and tissue morphogenesis, visit our WNT7A Antibody / Developmental Signaling Protein Antibody page.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the WNT7A antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

Amino acids YVLKDKYNEAVHVEPVRASRNKRPTFLKIKK of human WNT7A were used as the immunogen for the WNT7A antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the WNT7A antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
