WFDC2 Antibody Mouse and Rat Tissue WB. Western blot analysis was performed using WFDC2 Antibody at 0.5 ug/mL. Lane 1: rat testis lysate; lane 2: rat brain lysate; lane 3: rat thymus lysate; lane 4: mouse testis lysate; lane 5: mouse brain lysate; lane 6: mouse thymus lysate; lane 7: mouse HEPA1-6 cell lysate. WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 has an expected molecular weight of approximately 13-25 kDa depending on the degree of glycosylation. A specific immunoreactive band is detected at the expected molecular weight range in all tested samples, demonstrating that this WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 Antibody recognizes WFDC2 in both mouse and rat tissues and is suitable for Western blot analysis.
WFDC2 Antibody Mouse Small Intestine IHC. Immunohistochemistry was performed on FFPE mouse small intestine tissue using WFDC2 Antibody at 1 ug/mL. Heat-induced epitope retrieval was performed by steaming tissue sections in pH 6 citrate buffer for 20 minutes followed by cooling prior to incubation with the primary antibody. Bound antibody was visualized using an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and DAB chromogen. Strong cytoplasmic staining is observed within the intestinal glandular epithelium, consistent with WFDC2 expression, while surrounding tissues exhibit minimal background staining. These results demonstrate that this WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 Antibody is suitable for immunohistochemical detection of WFDC2 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded mouse tissue.
WFDC2 Antibody Mouse Lung IHC. Immunohistochemistry was performed on FFPE mouse lung tissue using WFDC2 Antibody at 1 ug/mL. Distinct membranous and apical cytoplasmic staining is observed in the bronchial epithelial cells, while the surrounding lung parenchyma exhibits minimal background staining. These results demonstrate that this WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 Antibody is suitable for immunohistochemical detection of WFDC2 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded mouse tissue.
WFDC2 Antibody Rat Small Intestine IHC. Immunohistochemistry was performed on FFPE rat small intestine tissue using WFDC2 Antibody at 1 ug/mL. These results demonstrate that this WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 Antibody is suitable for immunohistochemical detection of WFDC2 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded rat tissue.
WFDC2 Antibody Rat Kidney IHC. Immunohistochemistry was performed on FFPE rat kidney tissue using WFDC2 Antibody at 1 ug/mL. Distinct cytoplasmic staining is observed in renal tubular epithelial cells, while surrounding renal tissue exhibits minimal background staining. These results demonstrate that this WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 Antibody is suitable for immunohistochemical detection of WFDC2 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded rat tissue.

Description

WFDC2 Antibody recognizes WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2, a secreted glycoprotein encoded by the WFDC2 gene and a member of the whey acidic protein domain family. The protein contains characteristic four-disulfide core domains that contribute to its highly stable extracellular structure and are believed to participate in regulating protease activity, epithelial homeostasis, and innate defense mechanisms. Although the protein is widely known by the common name HE4, the official gene designation WFDC2 is frequently used in genomic, transcriptomic, and mechanistic research. NSJ Bioreagents provides this WFDC2 Antibody to support reliable detection of WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 in laboratory research.

Expression of WFDC2 has been reported in several epithelial tissues and secretory organs, where the protein is synthesized and released into the extracellular environment following normal processing through the secretory pathway. As a secreted glycoprotein, WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 has been investigated for potential roles in regulating extracellular protease activity, tissue remodeling, epithelial barrier maintenance, and host defense. Researchers commonly use WFDC2 Antibody in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry to examine protein expression, tissue localization, and changes associated with normal physiology and experimental disease models.

Interest in the WFDC2 gene has expanded through studies of epithelial biology, biomarker discovery, fibrosis, inflammation, and tumor-associated gene expression. Because many genomic and molecular biology databases, sequencing studies, and gene expression datasets identify the target by its official gene symbol rather than the HE4 protein name, a dedicated WFDC2 Antibody provides an intuitive resource for investigators working within gene-centric research environments. The antibody is suitable for studies evaluating WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 expression in mouse and rat experimental models using established immunodetection techniques.

Whether investigating extracellular protein biology, epithelial tissue function, or gene expression associated with the WFDC2 locus, WFDC2 Antibody provides a dependable reagent for detecting WAP Four-Disulfide Core Domain Protein 2 in research applications.
