The SMN complex plays an essential role in spliceosomal snRNP assembly in the cytoplasm and is required for pre-mRNA splicing in the nucleus. STRAP/UNRIP (UNR-interacting protein) may play a role in the cellular distribution of the SMN complex.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the UNRIP antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 242-269 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the UNRIP antibody.
