Description

U2AF1 belongs to the splicing factor SR family. U2 auxiliary factor, comprising a large and a small subunit, is a non-snRNP protein required for the binding of U2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA branch site. This gene encodes the small subunit which plays a critical role in both constitutive and enhancer-dependent RNA splicing by directly mediating interactions between the large subunit and proteins bound to the enhancers.

Application Notes

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the U2AF1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 99-125 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the U2AF1 antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the U2AF1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
