Torsin A interacting protein 1 / Lamin-associated protein 1B is required for nuclear membrane integrity. Induces TOR1A and TOR1B ATPase activity and is required for their location on the nuclear membrane. Binds to A- and B-type lamins. Possible role in membrane attachment and assembly of the nuclear lamina.
Titration of the TOR1AIP1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 42-76 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the TOR1AIP1 antibody.
Aliquot the TOR1AIP1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
