Description

This gene encodes Transmembrane protease serine 13, a member of the type II transmembrane serine protease family. Transmembrane protease serine 13 contains a type II transmembrane domain, a receptor class A domain, a scavenger receptor cysteine-rich domain and a protease domain. Transmembrane serine proteases are regulated by protease inhibitors and known to function in development, homeostasis, infection, and tumorigenesis. This protein facilitates entry of viruses into host cells by proteolytically cleaving and activating viral envelope glycoproteins.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the TMPRSS13 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

E. coli-derived recombinant human protein (amino acids R118-L572) was used as the immunogen for the TMPRSS13 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the TMPRSS13 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
