Western blot testing of human K562 (lane 1), THP-1 (lane 2), and HT-1080 (lane 3) cell lysates using TMEM158 antibody at a 1:2000 dilution detected a prominent band at approximately 35 kDa, consistent with the expected molecular weight of TMEM158 (30-40 kDa). Description

TMEM158 Antibody / Ras-Induced Senescence Protein 1 Antibody recognizes TMEM158, also known as Ras-Induced Senescence Protein 1 (RIS1), a type I transmembrane protein originally identified as a gene induced during oncogenic Ras-driven cellular senescence. TMEM158 expression increases in response to sustained Ras signaling, linking it to the establishment and maintenance of senescence programs that limit uncontrolled cell proliferation. Although first characterized as a senescence-associated protein, subsequent studies have demonstrated that TMEM158 also participates in broader processes including cell growth, differentiation, adhesion, migration, and tumor progression, with its biological role varying according to tissue type and disease context.

TMEM158 is predominantly localized to cellular membranes and is expressed in numerous epithelial and mesenchymal tissues.
