Description

TIP3 Antibody / Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 1 Antibody detects the protein encoded by the SOCS1 gene, a member of the suppressor of cytokine signaling family involved in regulation of cytokine receptor pathways. Originally described as TIP3 (Tec-interacting protein 3), this protein functions as an intracellular inhibitor that helps control signaling responses activated by cytokines and immune mediators. SOCS1 regulates signaling intensity by participating in feedback mechanisms that limit prolonged activation of JAK STAT pathways.

Suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 contains an SH2 domain that supports interaction with signaling proteins and a SOCS box region involved in regulatory protein complexes. After cytokine stimulation, SOCS1 expression increases to help maintain appropriate pathway balance and cellular responses. TIP3 Antibody allows researchers to study expression of this cytokine signaling inhibitor in immune regulation, inflammation and cell signaling models.

The JAK STAT pathway controls many biological responses, including immune cell activation, differentiation and communication between cells. Suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 has been studied for its role in pathways activated by interferons, interleukins and other cytokine families.
