STK25 Antibody / Serine/threonine-protein kinase 25 Antibody detects STK25, also called YSK1 or SOK1, a member of the germinal center kinase III subgroup of STE20-related kinases. The enzyme transfers phosphate groups to protein substrates and participates in signaling pathways that influence cell polarity, cytoskeletal organization, and stress responses. STK25 has been detected at the Golgi apparatus, where its localization is associated with GM130 and the kinase adaptor protein STRIPAK-related signaling components. Its subcellular positioning helps determine which substrates and regulatory proteins can interact with the kinase.
STK25 is related to STK24 and MST4, but these kinases are not interchangeable: differences in binding partners, localization, and regulatory inputs shape their functions. The STRIPAK complex contains phosphatase and scaffold components that coordinate the activity of several germinal center kinase III proteins. STK25 has also been connected to changes in actin dynamics and the orientation of cells during migration. These observations place the kinase at an intersection between membrane trafficking, organelle architecture, and the spatial control of cellular signaling. The Serine/threonine-protein kinase 25 Antibody name refers to this same gene product.
Work on STK25 has explored its contribution to metabolic regulation, including hepatic lipid handling and responses to nutrient excess. Experimental models have associated altered STK25 abundance with changes in lipid accumulation and mitochondrial function, although the consequences vary with biological context. Its role in Golgi organization is also relevant to the maintenance of polarized cells, which must distribute proteins and membranes to defined cellular regions. NSJ Bioreagents includes this kinase among targets involved in protein phosphorylation and cellular organization. An STK25 Antibody provides a way to investigate the molecular biology associated with this protein.

The optimal working dilution of the STK25 Antibody / Serine/threonine-protein kinase 25 Antibody should be determined empirically by the investigator.
The STK25 Antibody was generated using e. coli-derived human STK25 recombinant protein (amino acids M1-R426).
Following reconstitution, the STK25 Antibody can be kept at 4oC for one month. Aliquot for extended storage at -20oC for up to six months, avoiding repeated freezing and thawing.
