Description

STAT6, or Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 6, is a key transcription factor involved in cytokine signaling, particularly downstream of interleukin 4 and interleukin 13 receptors. It plays a central role in promoting Th2 cell differentiation, immunoglobulin class switching to IgE, and regulation of genes associated with allergic inflammation and immune responses. Activation of STAT6 occurs through phosphorylation by receptor-associated Janus kinases, after which it dimerizes and translocates to the nucleus to drive gene transcription.

Storage
