Description

SOCS1 Antibody / Cytokine Signaling Regulator Antibody detects suppressor of cytokine signaling 1, an intracellular regulatory protein that controls cytokine receptor signaling and immune pathway activation. SOCS1 is a member of the SOCS family of proteins and functions as a negative feedback regulator of the JAK STAT signaling pathway. Through interactions with Janus kinases and cytokine receptor complexes, SOCS1 helps regulate the intensity and duration of cellular responses to cytokines, growth factors and inflammatory signals.

SOCS1 contains a central SH2 domain and a SOCS box domain that contribute to target recognition and regulation of signaling protein stability. Following cytokine stimulation, SOCS1 expression is induced as part of a feedback mechanism that limits excessive pathway activation.
