SMMHC Antibody SM-M10 / MYH11 [clone SM-M10] (V4420)

SMMHC Antibody SM-M10 Uterine Smooth Muscle IHC. Immunohistochemical staining of FFPE human uterus tissue demonstrates Smooth Muscle Myosin Heavy Chain expression using SMMHC antibody clone SM-M10. SMMHC, encoded by the MYH11 gene, is a highly specific marker of differentiated smooth muscle cells and a major component of the contractile apparatus. Prominent cytoplasmic staining is observed throughout intersecting fascicles of uterine smooth muscle cells, consistent with the abundant expression of MYH11 within the myometrium. The characteristic staining pattern highlights the organized architecture of contractile smooth muscle bundles responsible for uterine function. Heat induced epitope retrieval was performed by boiling tissue sections in pH 9 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA for 20 minutes followed by cooling prior to staining. These results support the utility of SMMHC Antibody for studies of smooth muscle differentiation, reproductive biology, and soft tissue pathology.
