Description

Sodium-coupled monocarboxylate transporter 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC5A8 gene. SLC5A8 has been shown to transport iodide by a passive mechanism and monocarboxylates and short-chain fatty acids by a sodium-coupled mechanism. In kidney, SLC5A8 functions as a high-affinity sodium-coupled lactate transporter involved in reabsorption of lactate and maintenance of blood lactate levels.

Optimal dilution of the SLC5A8 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

Recombinant human protein (amino acids A313-N598) was used as the immunogen for the SLC5A8 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the SLC5A8 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
