NAD-dependent deacetylase sirtuin-3, mitochondrial is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SIRT3 gene. It is member of the mammalian sirtuin family of proteins, which are homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Endogenous SIRT3 is a soluble protein located in the mitochondrial matrix. Overexpression in cultured cells increases respiration and decreases the production of reactive oxygen species. It can function as a mitochondrial deacetylase. Additionally, human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the SIRT3 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Human partial recombinant protein (AA 66-399) was used as the immunogen for this SIRT3 antibody.
After reconstitution, the SIRT3 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
