Description

Septin-1, also called LARP, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SEPTIN1 gene. This gene is a member of the septin family of GTPases. Members of this family are required for cytokinesis and the maintenance of cellular morphology. This gene encodes a protein that can form homo- and heterooligomeric filaments, and may contribute to the formation of neurofibrillary tangles in Alzheimer's disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found but the full-length nature of these variants has not been determined.

Optimal dilution of the SEPTIN1 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Storage

After reconstitution, the SEPTIN1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
