Scinderin (also known as Adseverin) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCIN gene. Ca(2+)-dependent actin filament-severing protein that is presumed to have a regulatory function in exocytosis by affecting the organization of the microfilament network underneath the plasma membrane. In vitro, also has barbed end capping and nucleating activities in the presence of Ca(2+). Regulates chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation. MAP kinases p38 and ERK1/2 mediate the adseverin-induced accelerated differentiation of non-hypertrophic chondrocytes (By similarity).
Optimal dilution of the Scinderin antibody should be determined by the researcher.
E. coli-derived recombinant human protein (amino acids S35-Y617) was used as the immunogen for the Scinderin antibody.
After reconstitution, the Scinderin antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
