Description

Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This protein is a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit. The protein belongs to the S13P family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm.

Application Notes

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the RPS18 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 62-91 from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the RPS18 antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the RPS18 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
