Western blot analysis of RPS12 Antibody using lysates from 1) human HeLa cells, 2) human HepG2 cells, 3) rat C6 cells, 4) mouse RAW264.7 cells, and 5) mouse NIH/3T3 cells. Samples (30 ug/lane) were separated on a 12% SDS-PAGE gel under reducing conditions, transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane, and probed with RPS12 Antibody (0.5 ug/mL), followed by an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and ECL detection. A specific band is detected at approximately 15 kDa in all five cell lysates, consistent with the predicted molecular weight of RPS12. Description

RPS12 Antibody recognizes 40S Ribosomal Protein S12 (RPS12), a highly conserved structural component of the small 40S ribosomal subunit that is essential for accurate messenger RNA translation and protein synthesis. As part of the cytosolic ribosome, RPS12 contributes to ribosome assembly, messenger RNA decoding, and maintenance of translational fidelity during peptide elongation. Because efficient protein synthesis is fundamental to virtually every cellular process, RPS12 is expressed in nearly all cell types and tissues. Consequently, RPS12 Antibody is widely used to investigate ribosome biology, translational regulation, cellular growth, and mechanisms controlling protein production.

RPS12 participates in the formation and stabilization of the ribosomal decoding center, where it helps ensure accurate codon recognition and transfer RNA selection during translation. Although traditionally viewed as a housekeeping protein, increasing evidence indicates that ribosomal proteins can influence selective messenger RNA translation, stress adaptation, cell cycle progression, and cellular differentiation. Alterations in ribosome composition or function may affect the translation of specific transcripts involved in proliferation, apoptosis, metabolism, and development. Accordingly, RPS12 Antibody has become an important research tool for studies of ribosome biogenesis, translational control, RNA biology, and cellular responses to physiological stress.

Disruption of ribosomal protein function has been linked to a growing group of disorders collectively known as ribosomopathies, while dysregulated protein synthesis is increasingly recognized as a hallmark of cancer and other proliferative diseases. Although pathogenic variants in RPS12 are uncommon compared with some other ribosomal proteins, altered ribosome function and translational regulation contribute broadly to tumor development, metabolic disorders, neurodegeneration, and responses to cellular stress. Researchers commonly employ RPS12 Antibody in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and related protein expression studies to characterize ribosomal protein abundance, localization, and translational activity across normal and diseased tissues.

NSJ Bioreagents provides RPS12 Antibody products that undergo validation for research applications to support reliable detection of this essential ribosomal protein. Whether investigating ribosome assembly, messenger RNA translation, protein synthesis, cell growth, or translational regulation, a high-quality 40S Ribosomal Protein S12 Antibody enables accurate characterization of RPS12 expression and localization. As interest in translational control and ribosome biology continues to expand across biomedical research, RPS12 Antibody remains an indispensable tool for studying the molecular mechanisms that govern cytosolic protein synthesis.
