Dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide-protein glycosyltransferase subunit 2, also called Ribophorin II, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the RPN2 gene. This gene encodes a type I integral membrane protein found only in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The encoded protein is part of an N-oligosaccharyl transferase complex that links high mannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues found in the Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif of nascent polypeptide chains. This protein is similar in sequence to the yeast oligosaccharyl transferase subunit SWP1. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Optimal dilution of the Ribophorin II antibody should be determined by the researcher.
E. coli-derived recombinant human protein (amino acids Q64-Q174) was used as the immunogen for the Ribophorin II antibody.
After reconstitution, the Ribophorin II antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
