Recombinant SOX10 antibody is designed to detect SRY related HMG box transcription factor 10, a regulator of neural crest derived cell lineages. SOX10 is essential for the development of melanocytes, Schwann cells, and oligodendrocytes. Its activity defines neural crest fate, drives transcriptional programs for differentiation, and maintains cell survival. Because of these roles, SOX10 is studied extensively in developmental biology, neurobiology, and tumor pathology.
SOX10 binds DNA through its HMG domain and regulates transcription of genes associated with pigmentation, glial differentiation, and myelin formation. Mutations in SOX10 are responsible for developmental syndromes such as Waardenburg and Hirschsprung, both of which affect pigment and enteric nervous system formation. Dysregulated expression of SOX10 has also been linked to melanoma and neural crest derived tumors.
The Recombinant SOX10 antibody clone SOX10/2311R provides consistent and precise detection. Recombinant manufacturing eliminates variability across batches, ensuring reproducible performance. Clone SOX10/2311R has been applied in studies of neural crest biology, tumor diagnostics, and oligodendrocyte maturation. Its nuclear staining pattern supports accurate localization in tissues and cells.
Research using clone SOX10/2311R has clarified how SOX10 expression distinguishes melanocytic tumors from other neoplasms and aids in diagnostic pathology. It has also informed neuroscience research, where SOX10 activity is central to understanding myelination and repair following injury. The antibody continues to provide value in studies of transcriptional regulation and lineage identity.
NSJ Bioreagents supplies this Recombinant SOX10 antibody to support investigations into neural crest biology, glial development, and oncology. The protein is also described as transcription factor SOX10 antibody, SRY related HMG box factor 10 antibody, neural crest lineage regulator antibody, and Waardenburg syndrome gene antibody.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the recombinant SOX10 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
Amino acids 115-269 of the human protein were used as the immunogen for the recombinant SOX10 antibody.
Store the recombinant SOX10 antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
