LGALS1 Antibody HeLa WB. Western blot analysis of human HeLa cell lysate using recombinant LGALS1 antibody (clone GAL1/2499R). A strong, distinct immunoreactive band is detected at approximately 14 kDa, corresponding to the expected molecular weight of LGALS1, also known as Galectin-1. LGALS1 is a beta-galactoside-binding lectin that regulates cell adhesion, immune homeostasis, apoptosis, angiogenesis, and glycan-mediated signaling pathways. The clean single-band staining pattern supports the specificity of recombinant clone GAL1/2499R for detection of endogenous LGALS1 protein by western blot. Predicted molecular weight: ~14 kDa.
LGALS1 Antibody JEG-3 and K562 WB. Western blot analysis of 1) human JEG-3 and 2) human K562 cell lysates using recombinant LGALS1 antibody (clone GAL1/2499R). A prominent immunoreactive band is detected at approximately 14 kDa in both cell lines, consistent with the expected molecular weight of LGALS1. LGALS1 is a beta-galactoside-binding lectin involved in glycan-mediated signaling, immune regulation, cell adhesion, angiogenesis, and tumor microenvironment remodeling. The strong and specific detection of endogenous LGALS1 in multiple human cell lines demonstrates the utility of recombinant clone GAL1/2499R for western blot applications. Predicted molecular weight: ~14 kDa.
LGALS1 Antibody Prostate Carcinoma IHC. Immunohistochemical staining of FFPE human prostate carcinoma tissue using recombinant LGALS1 antibody (clone GAL1/2499R) demonstrates prominent cytoplasmic and stromal-associated HRP-DAB brown staining within the tumor microenvironment. Strong immunoreactivity is observed in fibroblast-like stromal cells and connective tissue structures surrounding malignant glandular elements, consistent with the known expression pattern of LGALS1, a beta-galactoside-binding lectin involved in immune regulation, extracellular matrix remodeling, angiogenesis, and tumor progression. The staining pattern highlights the important role of LGALS1 in tumor-stromal interactions and supports the use of recombinant clone GAL1/2499R for detection of LGALS1 expression in FFPE tissue specimens. HIER: boil tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6, for 10-20 min and allow to cool before testing.
LGALS1 Antibody Protein Microarray Validation. Analysis of a HuProt(TM) microarray containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins using recombinant LGALS1 antibody (clone GAL1/2499R) demonstrates exceptional target specificity for LGALS1. The GAL1/2499R recombinant monoclonal antibody identifies LGALS1 as the highest-ranking target with a Z-score of 148.81 and an S-score of 134.45, substantially exceeding all non-target proteins represented on the array. These results confirm the foremost specificity of clone GAL1/2499R and provide strong evidence for highly selective recognition of LGALS1 with minimal off-target binding. Z-score represents the signal strength generated by antibody binding to a specific protein relative to all proteins present on the array, while S-score reflects the specificity gap between the intended target and the next highest-ranking protein. An S-score greater than 2.5 is generally considered indicative of highly specific target recognition. The exceptionally high Z- and S-scores observed for GAL1/2499R support its suitability for applications requiring accurate and reliable detection of endogenous LGALS1 expression.

Description

LGALS1 Antibody / Glycan Binding Lectin Antibody recognizes LGALS1, also known as Galectin-1, a highly conserved beta-galactoside-binding lectin that participates in cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, immune regulation, and extracellular matrix remodeling. As a member of the galectin family, LGALS1 functions through the recognition and binding of specific carbohydrate structures on glycoproteins and glycolipids, allowing it to regulate numerous cellular communication pathways in both normal and diseased tissues.

LGALS1 Antibody is valuable for studying glycan-mediated biological processes and the diverse cellular functions controlled by Galectin-1. The protein is found within the cytoplasm, nucleus, cell surface, and extracellular environment, where it influences receptor organization, signal transduction, and cell-cell interactions. Through its carbohydrate recognition domain, Galectin-1 can bind beta-galactoside-containing glycoconjugates and facilitate the formation of molecular lattices that regulate receptor clustering, cellular activation, and downstream signaling events.

LGALS1 Antibody has become increasingly important in immunology research because Galectin-1 serves as a key regulator of immune homeostasis. The protein influences T-cell survival, immune tolerance, inflammatory signaling pathways, and communication between immune and stromal cell populations. Altered LGALS1 expression has been associated with inflammatory disorders, autoimmune disease, infection, and changes within the immune microenvironment, making it a useful biomarker for studies of immune regulation and host responses.

LGALS1 Antibody is also widely utilized in cancer, angiogenesis, and glycobiology research. Elevated Galectin-1 expression has been reported in numerous malignancies where it may contribute to tumor progression, vascular remodeling, metastatic behavior, and immune evasion. Because LGALS1 influences both malignant cells and surrounding stromal components through glycan-dependent interactions, it has become an important target for investigations into tumor biology and therapeutic development. Continued interest in Galectin-1 has established this lectin as a significant research marker across oncology, vascular biology, developmental biology, and cell signaling disciplines.

This recombinant rabbit monoclonal LGALS1 antibody (clone GAL1/2499R) has been Protein Microarray Validated, providing additional confidence in specificity for the detection of Galectin-1 in immunohistochemistry, western blotting, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and related research applications.
