Recombinant EpCAM Antibody / Extracellular Domain recognizes Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EPCAM), also known as EpCAM, CD326, and TACSTD1, through an epitope located within the extracellular region of the protein. EPCAM is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of many epithelial cells, where it functions in cell-cell adhesion, epithelial integrity, tissue organization, and intracellular signaling. Because the extracellular domain is exposed on the cell surface, antibodies directed against this region are particularly useful for detection of native EPCAM expression in intact cells and tissues. 1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
A portion of amino acids 100-224 (extracellular domain) was used as the immunogen for the recombinant EpCAM antibody.
Store the recombinant EpCAM antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
