E-cadherin (CDH1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that localizes to the plasma membrane of epithelial cells, where it plays a central role in maintaining tissue organization and polarity. E-cadherin is enriched at lateral membranes, defining cell boundaries and supporting structured epithelial layers. E-cadherin Antibody for IF enables detailed visualization of membrane-associated protein distribution in cultured cells, allowing precise analysis of subcellular localization. E-cadherin is also widely known as CDH1 antibody and is a hallmark epithelial membrane protein used in imaging studies.
E-cadherin Antibody for IF / CDH1 Immunofluorescence Antibody - Membrane Localization Marker (clone CDH1/2208R) is optimized for fluorescence-based applications that require accurate visualization of protein positioning at the cell surface. The recombinant rabbit monoclonal clone CDH1/2208R antibody produces strong, uniform membrane staining in MCF7 cells, clearly outlining plasma membrane boundaries. This clone CDH1/2208R antibody supports reproducible detection of membrane-localized CDH1 and is well suited for localization-focused imaging workflows.
In immunofluorescence assays, E-cadherin antibody highlights the spatial distribution of CDH1 along the cell membrane, allowing distinction between membrane-associated signal and cytoplasmic or mislocalized protein. This is particularly important in studies where altered localization reflects functional disruption of epithelial organization. E-cadherin Antibody for IF provides a clear readout of protein positioning and supports detailed subcellular analysis.
Membrane localization of E-cadherin is essential for maintaining epithelial polarity and coordinated tissue structure. Proper localization ensures stable adhesion and organized cell layering, while mislocalization is associated with disease progression and altered signaling. E-cadherin immunofluorescence antibody enables visualization of these localization states in cellular models.
This E-cadherin antibody is particularly effective for fluorescence-based studies focused on membrane protein distribution and epithelial cell surface organization. The well-defined membrane staining produced by clone CDH1/2208R supports accurate interpretation of localization patterns and imaging workflows centered on cell surface dynamics.
This antibody is part of the CDH1 antibody collection, where multiple E-cadherin antibody formats and applications are available for studying epithelial adhesion and cancer progression.
Optimal dilution of the E-cadherin Antibody for IF / CDH1 Immunofluorescence Antibody - Membrane Localization Marker should be determined by the researcher.
1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
Recombinant human protein was used as the immunogen for the recombinant E-cadherin antibody.
Store the recombinant E-cadherin antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
