CD44 participates in a wide variety of cellular functions including lymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, hematopoiesis, and tumor metastasis. The additional 10 exons (v1 to v10) are only expressed by alternative splicing of the nuclear RNA. The expression of specific cell adhesion molecule CD44 splice variants has been reported to be associated with metastasis in certain human malignancies.
The concentration stated for each application is a general starting point. Variations in protocols, secondaries and substrates may require the recombinant CD44v9 antibody to be titered up or down for optimal performance.
1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
An amino acid sequence from the variant 9 domain of CD44 was used as the immunogen for the recombinant CD44v9 antibody.
Store the recombinant CD44v9 antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
