TNFRSF9 Antibody 4-1BB/4552R recognizes tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 9 (TNFRSF9), an immune costimulatory receptor more commonly known as CD137 or 4-1BB. TNFRSF9 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and is induced following activation of several immune-cell populations. The receptor is particularly associated with activated T lymphocytes and is also expressed by natural killer cells and other immune cells involved in innate and adaptive immune responses.
TNFRSF9 interacts with its ligand TNFSF9, also known as CD137L or 4-1BBL. Ligand engagement promotes recruitment of TRAF-family signaling proteins to the receptor and activates downstream pathways that include NF-kappaB and MAPK signaling. These signals can promote lymphocyte survival, proliferation, cytokine production, and effector activity. The CD137 signaling axis therefore provides an important mechanism for regulating the magnitude and persistence of cellular immune responses.
TNFRSF9 expression and signaling are studied extensively in immunology, inflammation, and cancer research. Because receptor expression increases following immune-cell activation, CD137 is frequently investigated in studies of activated lymphocyte populations and tumor-associated immune responses. Modulation of 4-1BB signaling is also of considerable interest in cancer immunology because of its ability to influence T-cell and natural killer cell activity. A Recombinant CD137 Antibody can complement studies examining receptor expression and the biological mechanisms associated with CD137-mediated immune costimulation.
Clone 4-1BB/4552R is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody generated against a human CD137 protein fragment within amino acids 19-188. Its recombinant monoclonal format provides a defined reagent for investigating TNFRSF9 expression and complements antibodies produced using conventional monoclonal formats. NSJ Bioreagents supplies clone 4-1BB/4552R for research use only.
A TNFRSF9 Antibody can be used to investigate CD137 expression and its relationship to lymphocyte activation, immune costimulation, inflammatory responses, and antitumor immunity.
For a CD137 monoclonal with broader IF, FACS, IHC, Western blot, and protein microarray validation, see our CD137 Antibody 4-1BB/3201 / 4-1BB Antibody page.
Optimal dilution of the TNFRSF9 Antibody 4-1BB/4552R / Recombinant CD137 Antibody should be determined by the researcher.
A human CD137 protein fragment within amino acids 19-188 was used as the immunogen for the recombinant CD137 / TNFRSF9 antibody.
Store the TNFRSF9 Antibody 4-1BB/4552R at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
