RBPMS Antibody Human Caco-2 Colorectal Cancer Cell FACS. Flow cytometry analysis of fixed and permeabilized human Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells was performed with RBPMS Antibody at 1 ug/million cells. RBPMS staining (blue) shows a clear fluorescence shift compared with the isotype control (green) and blank control (red). This RBPMS Antibody demonstrates intracellular detection of RNA-Binding Protein With Multiple Splicing in human Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells.
RBPMS Antibody Human, Mouse and Rat WB. Western blot analysis was performed with RBPMS Antibody on human Caco-2, A549, RT4 and HepG2 cell lysates (lanes 1-4), rat heart tissue lysate (lane 5) and mouse heart tissue lysate (lane 6). Samples were separated by 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, and the antibody was used at 0.5 ug/ml overnight at 4oC. Bands are detected at approximately 24 and 28 kDa. Although the calculated molecular weight of RBPMS is approximately 22 kDa, RBPMS has been reported to migrate at approximately 28-30 kDa by Western blot, with multiple bands potentially reflecting splice variants and/or post-translationally modified forms. This RBPMS Antibody demonstrates detection of RNA-Binding Protein With Multiple Splicing across human, mouse and rat samples.
RBPMS Antibody Human Cardiac Muscle IHC. IHC staining of FFPE human cardiac muscle tissue was performed with RBPMS Antibody at 2 ug/ml following heat-induced epitope retrieval in pH 8 EDTA buffer. HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and DAB were used for detection. RBPMS staining is observed in cardiac muscle cells, with predominantly cytoplasmic signal and stronger staining in scattered cells. This RBPMS Antibody demonstrates detection of RNA-Binding Protein With Multiple Splicing in human cardiac muscle tissue.

Description

RBPMS Antibody / RNA-Binding Protein With Multiple Splicing Antibody detects RBPMS, an RNA-binding protein involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. RBPMS contains a conserved RNA recognition motif that enables interactions with RNA and contributes to the regulation of RNA processing and alternative splicing. The protein is expressed in multiple tissues and has been studied particularly in relation to muscle cell differentiation, cellular identity and the regulation of tissue-specific gene expression.

RBPMS has an important role in smooth muscle biology, where it functions as a regulator of alternative splicing programs associated with the differentiated contractile phenotype. Changes in RBPMS expression can influence the processing of transcripts involved in cytoskeletal organization, contraction and other characteristics of differentiated muscle cells. A RBPMS Antibody can therefore support studies of RNA regulation, muscle differentiation and mechanisms that control transitions between cellular phenotypes.

RBPMS expression is also found in cardiac tissue, making the protein relevant to studies of RNA processing and gene regulation in muscle-rich tissues. More broadly, RNA-binding proteins such as RBPMS can influence transcript processing, stability and utilization, allowing cells to coordinate protein expression after transcription. These mechanisms are important during development, differentiation and responses to physiological or pathological changes.

In neuroscience, RBPMS is also widely used as a marker for retinal ganglion cells (RGCs). RBPMS immunoreactivity can be used to identify and quantify RGCs in retinal tissue and has been applied in studies of retinal development, optic nerve injury and neurodegeneration. RBPMS is not specific to the retina or retinal ganglion cells, however, and its expression in muscle and other tissues reflects broader biological functions in RNA regulation.

NSJ Bioreagents offers RBPMS Antibody reagents for investigating RBPMS expression and localization. An RNA-Binding Protein With Multiple Splicing Antibody can support research into RNA processing, alternative splicing, muscle biology, cellular differentiation and retinal ganglion cell biology.

Researchers studying RBPMS in retinal ganglion cells and neuronal biology can explore our Neuroscience Antibodies page for additional targets involved in neural development, function and neurodegeneration.
