RNA-binding protein with multiple splicing is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RBPMS gene. It is mapped to 8p12. This gene encodes a member of the RNA recognition motif family of RNA-binding proteins. The RNA recognition motif is between 80-100 amino acids in length and family members contain one to four copies of the motif. The RNA recognition motif consists of two short stretches of conserved sequence, as well as a few highly conserved hydrophobic residues. The encoded protein has a single, putative RNA recognition motif in its N-terminus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
Optimal dilution of the RBPMS antibody should be determined by the researcher.
Recombinant human protein (amino acids K6-C196) was used as the immunogen for the RBPMS antibody.
After reconstitution, the RBPMS antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
