As a component of the outer core of AMPAR complex, Proline-rich transmembrane protein 2 may be involved in synaptic transmission in the central nervous system. In hippocampal neurons, in presynaptic terminals, plays an important role in the final steps of neurotransmitter release, possibly by regulating Ca2+-sensing. The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the PRRT2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 207-233 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the PRRT2 antibody.
Aliquot the PRRT2 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
