PRKD2 Antibody SiHa Cell IF. Immunofluorescent staining of SiHa cells with PRKD2 antibody (green) at 5 ug/ml. Enzymatic antigen retrieval was performed for 15 minutes prior to staining. Nuclei are counterstained with DAPI (blue). PRKD2 immunoreactivity is observed predominantly within the cytoplasm, consistent with the expected localization of this serine threonine kinase that regulates intracellular signaling, vesicle trafficking, cell survival, and proliferation.
PRKD2 Antibody Human and Mouse WB. Western blot testing of 1) human HEL, 2) human RT4, 3) human SiHa, and 4) mouse thymus lysates with PRKD2 antibody at 0.5 ug/ml. A prominent immunoreactive band is detected at approximately 105 kDa in all samples, consistent with the expected migration of PRKD2 despite its predicted molecular weight of approximately 97 kDa. The results demonstrate specific detection of this serine threonine kinase, which functions in intracellular signaling pathways regulating cell proliferation, survival, vesicle trafficking, and stress responses.
PRKD2 Antibody Human HEL IP-WB. Immunoprecipitation of PRKD2 from human HEL whole cell lysate followed by western blot analysis using PRKD2 antibody. Lane 1: Input HEL whole cell lysate (30 ug). Lane 2: Immunoprecipitation using rabbit control IgG (negative control). Lane 3: Immunoprecipitation with 2 ug PRKD2 antibody from 500 ug HEL whole cell lysate. A specific immunoreactive band is detected at approximately 105 kDa, consistent with the expected migration of PRKD2 despite its predicted molecular weight of approximately 97 kDa. The enrichment of PRKD2 in the immunoprecipitated sample, with no corresponding band in the IgG control, demonstrates the suitability of this serine threonine kinase antibody for immunoprecipitation and western blot applications.

Description

PRKD2 Antibody recognizes Protein Kinase D2 (PRKD2), a calcium- and diacylglycerol-responsive serine threonine kinase that belongs to the Protein Kinase D family of signaling enzymes. Activated downstream of Protein Kinase C, PRKD2 regulates numerous cellular processes including proliferation, survival, migration, vesicle trafficking, oxidative stress responses, and gene transcription. Through phosphorylation of diverse intracellular substrates, PRKD2 integrates extracellular stimuli with signaling pathways that control cell growth and adaptation to stress. Consequently, PRKD2 Antibody is widely used to investigate signal transduction, cardiovascular biology, cancer, and immune cell function.

PRKD2 is broadly expressed in mammalian tissues and localizes to the cytoplasm, Golgi apparatus, and nucleus depending on its activation state. The kinase plays an important role in Golgi membrane fission and secretory vesicle transport while also regulating MAPK, Nuclear Factor kappa B (NF-kappa-B), and histone deacetylase signaling pathways. PRKD2 contributes to angiogenesis, cardiac development, T-cell activation, and cellular responses to reactive oxygen species. Because PRKD2 integrates multiple signaling networks, it serves as an important regulator of normal cellular homeostasis.

Aberrant PRKD2 expression or activity has been implicated in numerous diseases, including breast cancer, prostate cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory disorders, and pathological angiogenesis. Depending on cellular context, PRKD2 may promote tumor cell survival, migration, invasion, or resistance to apoptosis, making it an active area of oncology research. In addition, PRKD2 has emerged as an important mediator of cardiac signaling and vascular biology, supporting investigations into heart disease and endothelial function.

NSJ Bioreagents offers highly validated PRKD2 Antibody products for reliable detection of endogenous PRKD2 in human and animal tissues. These antibodies support studies of serine threonine kinase signaling, Protein Kinase D biology, vesicle trafficking, cardiovascular research, immune regulation, and cancer while providing dependable performance across western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and other research applications.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the PRKD2 Antibody / Serine Threonine Kinase Antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

A synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human Protein Kinase D2 protein was used as the immunogen for the PRKD2 Antibody.

Storage

PRKD2 Antibody is stable at -20oC for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4oC for one month. It can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20oC for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Alternate Names
