Description

PRDX2 is a member of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduce hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides. This protein may play an antioxidant protective role in cells, and may contribute to the antiviral activity of CD8(+) T-cells. This protein may have a proliferative effect and play a role in cancer development or progression. The crystal structure of this protein has been resolved to 2.7 angstroms.

Application Notes

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the PRDX2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 169-198 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the PRDX2 antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the PRDX2 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
