PPM1G antibody detects Protein phosphatase 1G, encoded by the PPM1G gene. Protein phosphatase 1G belongs to the PP2C family of serine threonine phosphatases, which are magnesium or manganese dependent enzymes involved in negative regulation of cell signaling. PPM1G dephosphorylates specific substrates to modulate cell cycle progression, DNA damage repair, pre mRNA splicing, and chromatin remodeling.
