Phosphatidic acid phosphatase type 2 domain-containing protein 1B or Phospholipid phosphatase 5 displays magnesium-independent phosphatidate phosphatase activity in vitro. Catalyzes the conversion of phosphatidic acid to diacylglycerol. May be a metastatic suppressor for hepatocellular carcinoma.
Titration of the PPAPDC1B antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 114-146 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the PPAPDC1B antibody.
